Sutton Grammar for Girls established in 1929, and rated “outstanding” by Ofsted in 2008, required 120m2 of soundproofing and reverberation control for their large Sports Hall facility. UK Acoustic Systems supplied and installed Class ‘A’ Sound Absorption Wall Panels, so as to ensure a high quality and speedy installation, with panels fitted to ensure the highest possible performance within the noisy Sports Hall environment.
Introduction
Our experience and expertise with reverberation control at Sports Halls in Schools and Leisure Centres meant we could provide the optimum solution for impact panels to be fitted at the high roof level to ensure noise and echo was substantially reduced to more acceptable tolerances. Our Site Survey identified the many reflective surfaces causing the most issues so that the larger areas could be easily treated.
The Acoustic Wall Panels are excellent for sound absorption, especially in large open spaced areas, as they “soak” up the noise, therefore reducing reverberation levels but also covering a wide area with an aesthetically pleasing installation.
