Grade II Listed historic warehouse at Castle Wharf, Nottingham

October 2024, works commenced to transform an historic warehouse at Castle Wharf Nottingham. The £13m project will transform the iconic British Waterways warehouse into new Build to Rent homes in Nottingham.
Bringing disused buildings back in to use and regenerating areas into new communities is central to our work. Being contracted to help regenerate the warehouse at Castle Wharf will bring much needed homes to the area, allowing more people to live in the type of quality homes they want in the areas that give them access to the facilities and amenities they want.

UK Acoustic Systems were contracted to supply and install an acoustic flooring solution within the building which comprises of 95 Build to Rent units in a mix of 12 studios, 42 one-bedroom and 41 two-bedroom apartments, including a rooftop extension housing eight apartments. Ground floor amenity space for residents will also be included.

The flooring of choice was our Dry Screed 28F, 28F is a composite panel for acoustic flooring applications, consisting of an upper surface of an 18mm fibre reinforced cement fibre panel factory bonded to a 10mm closed cell resilient layer. These dry-fit screed replacement panels reduce floor height and save on drying times over traditional screeds.
