UK Acoustic Systems were required to provide a high specification shallow acoustic solution to achieve compliance with ‘Impact’ performance criteria when tested on site. The specification implemented by the Architect was 26mm Timber Floor Overlay Board, which was chosen to minimise construction height and to comply with Approved Document E Building Regulations. The site being in a highly populated area, meant restricted delivery times and minimal storage space. However, due to our ever growing experience and expertise, installing acoustic flooring, on similar London projects, we were able to manage deliveries, install the product quickly and reduce the overall project programme, finishing the project on time and to the best of standards.
